Our Directors and Specialists
Andrew Tavernia holds a physical therapy degree from Northeastern University and has over 24 years of experience and is a certified running gait analyst. He is interested in hands on/ manual therapy, as well as orthopedic and sports therapy. His personal interests incoude playing volleyball, mountain biking, and running marathons.
Brian Joslin is the owner of Xcelerate Physical Therapy. He has practiced as a physical therapist for over 25 years. He recently completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He also holds a master of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor's in Health Science from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science as well as an MBA from Penn State University. In 2022 Brian also obtained a Certificate in Sports Physical Therapy. Brian has worked in outpatient orthopedics his entire career. Brian opened Xcelerate Physical Therapy in 2014.
Parker Brown serves as the athletic trainer for both Paxon Hollow Middle School and Marple Newtown High School. She recently earned her Master's degree in Athletic Training from Thomas Jefferson University. Parker is passionate about supporting student-athletes in achieving their physical goals and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to their success. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys working out, reading, and exploring new movies.
Kimberly Adam is a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with her doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has experience working with local universities and high schools such as Villanova University, St Joseph’s University, LaSalle University, Eastern University, Lincoln University, Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, Radnor High School, The Haverford School, and Malvern Preparatory School. Kim is excited to add Marple Newtown School District to her resume.
Kim’s professional sports experience includes working as a sports medicine consultant with the Philadelphia Soul for the 2014 season and as a physical therapy consultant for the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2014-2015 season. Her clinical interests include orthopedic and sports physical therapy and injury prevention
Logan Barlok is our athletic trainer who covers all sporting activities at Marple Newtown High School. Logan graduated of Eastern University where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training in 2021. At Eastern University he was a member of the lacrosse team. Logan loves his job and he loves helping athletes play to the best of their ability.
Palma Joslin is a licensed physical therapist with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelors Degree in Health Science from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Palma has returned to the outpatient physical therapy profession in a new role. After working as physical therapist for 10 years, she chose to take time away to raise her and Brian’s five children. Palma now brings her knowledge of physical therapy to our front office to complete the family atmosphere at Xcelerate Physical Therapy.
